Bio
Currently accepting new students. I have experience with all ages but specialise in teaching adults and creating a joyful, creative and life-enriching experience for students.
I hold a Bachelor of Music / Arts majoring in Harp performance, Grad. Dip. Psych and Cert IV in Training and Assessment (industry standard for teaching adults).
The main influence on my harp playing has been Louise Johnson (former Sydney Symphony), and have also studied with Alice Giles and Heidi Lehwalder (USA). My teaching approach is informed by adult learning principles and my psychology qualifications.
Teaching Info
As a classically trained degree qualified teacher, my approach reflects this, but emphasises unlocking the innate musicality that I believe is within every person, regardless of whether or not they have received musical training during their lifetime.
As well as teaching individuals, I have a special interest in teaching groups, couples, or parent(s) with kids, to learn to play music together as a family. Create magical moments and memories you’ll never forget. I can support you with arranging a piece for all instruments played in the family so that everyone can contribute at their level. Mums & bubs, dads & bubs, also welcomed.
