Bio
Have piano lessons at a boutique Studio in Forest Lodge – close to the City and Inner West – with a piano teacher who is an active concert pianist and who has over 20 years experience teaching all ages and levels.
Brieley has assisted her students to develop a strong foundation as beginners, earn high grades for AMEB practical exams, attain AMEB Diplomas from as young as ten years old, graduate with bachelor and masters degrees, be prizewinners in competitions and eisteddfods, and to audition successfully for school music scholarships and acceptance into specialised performance-focused programs and tertiary degrees.
Brieley is a Steinway Educational Partner, member of the Music Teachers’ Association of NSW, and has been invited to be an adjudicator/examiner for organisations such as the Queensland Conservatorium, University of Queensland School of Music, Australian Institute of Music, Sydney Eisteddfod and the Sydney Conservatorium High School. She has previously been the piano teacher at St Joseph’s College (Gregory Terrace) in Brisbane, Head of Piano at the New England Conservatorium in Armidale, and was Lecturer in Classical Piano at the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney from 2020-2024.

Teaching Info
Being part of Brieley’s Studio means having one-to-one practical lessons on a grand piano in a relaxed and focused environment; receiving regular Studio Newsletters which provide updates and information; taking part in competition rehearsals and a Student Concert each year in a professional venue on a concert piano, and being part of a boutique Studio of interested learners.
In lessons, Brieley focuses on assisting her piano students to develop a solid technical and musical foundation; read music scores; play with appropriate sound production and a strong sense of rhythm; study music theory and texts to support music understanding; think critically and independently; prepare for upcoming performances; grow skills in collaborative playing, and gain technical skill so as to be able to play advanced repertoire.
Brieley’s students are encouraged to perform in local eisteddfods, school concerts, online competitions, national/international competitions and concert events.
