Bio
Benjamin Samuels is a Sydney-based clarinetist, saxophonist, and composer. He holds a Bachelor of Performance in Woodwind from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and an Honours degree in Jazz from Monash University.
With over ten years of teaching experience, Benjamin has worked with students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced AMEB candidates and senior secondary students preparing for HSC performance. He is known for his organised, patient, and enthusiastic approach, building strong rapport with students and inspiring them to achieve their best.
As a performer, Benjamin has extensive experience on both national and international stages. Since 2017, he has toured widely with DJs and producers, performing at renowned festivals and venues including Glastonbury (UK), Uprising (Slovakia), Boomtown (UK), Running of the Bulls (Spain), Envision Festival (Costa Rica), Echoes of India (Bangalore), Ozora (Hungary), Mona (Tasmania), and Dragon Dreaming Festival (Australia).
He currently collaborates with artists such as Grouch (NZ), Cinta T, Chutney, Lamalo, The Australian Art Orchestra, Sugato Nag (India), Sandy Evans, Splinter Orchestra, and Tony Gorman’s The Monday Club, and leads his own ensemble, the Benjamin Samuels Combining his performance and teaching experience, Benjamin is passionate about creating meaningful musical experiences for audiences and students alike.
